WhatsApp broadcasts with IotaBot: at a glance
IotaBot sends WhatsApp broadcasts through Meta’s official WhatsApp Business (Cloud) API.
Every broadcast uses a message template approved by Meta, as WhatsApp requires for business-initiated messages.
Sending is paced: you set a daily limit, a sending window, the days of the week and a timezone.
Each message is tracked as sent, delivered, read or failed.
Contacts who opt out are skipped by every later broadcast automatically.
Replies arrive in the shared inbox, where the AI answers them or a team member takes over.
Get started in three steps
- 1
Connect your WhatsApp Business number
Meta’s Embedded Signup connects the number in a few clicks — no BSP contract or developer needed.
- 2
Add your contacts
Bulk-upload a list, add people by hand, or use the contacts IotaBot already collected from your chats and forms.
- 3
Pick a template and send
Choose an approved template, set the pace and sending hours, and activate. Watch delivery live in the sending queue.
Everything a WhatsApp broadcast needs
Lists and self-updating segments
Send to a fixed list, or a segment defined by rules — such as everyone active in the last 30 days — that keeps itself current.
Paced, not blasted
A daily limit, a sending window and send days spread the broadcast out, which protects your number’s quality rating.
Delivered and read reports
See how many messages were delivered, read or failed, and open the list of contacts behind each number.
Follow-ups for non-repliers
Add a second step after a delay; it goes only to people who have not replied to the first message.
Opt-outs honoured
A contact who opts out is suppressed from future campaigns without anyone having to remember.
Four-eyes approval
Optionally require a second team member to approve a campaign before it can start sending.
What teams broadcast on WhatsApp
Offers and sale announcements
Tell your customer list about a sale the day it starts, in the app they actually open.
New arrivals and launches
Announce a launch, then follow up two days later with the people who did not reply.
Event and webinar reminders
Remind registrants before the start; questions that come back are answered by the AI.
Re-engaging quiet customers
Target a segment of contacts not seen for 60 days with a reason to come back.

Still have a question? Talk to us or try the live demo.
Is WhatsApp bulk messaging allowed?
Yes, through the official WhatsApp Business API with templates Meta has approved, sent to people who agreed to hear from you. IotaBot uses only the official API — no unofficial senders or browser automation that get numbers banned.
Can I personalise each broadcast with the customer’s name?
Not in campaigns yet. Campaign steps use approved templates with fixed content. Templates with variables can be sent one at a time from the inbox, or in bulk from your own code through the IotaBot WhatsApp API.
How many messages can I send per day?
Meta sets a messaging limit per WhatsApp number that grows as your number builds a good quality rating. Within that, you choose the daily limit per campaign in IotaBot.
What does a WhatsApp broadcast cost?
Meta charges per delivered marketing message, at a rate that depends on the recipient’s country. Our WhatsApp cost calculator shows the current rates for each market.
What happens when someone replies?
The reply opens a normal conversation in your inbox. The AI answers from your knowledge base, and anyone on your team can take over.
