WhatsApp marketing with IotaBot: at a glance
A WhatsApp campaign in IotaBot is a single message or a sequence of steps with delays between them.
Follow-up steps go only to contacts who have not replied to the earlier step.
Audiences are fixed lists or segments defined by rules that update automatically.
Each step uses a Meta-approved template; business-initiated WhatsApp messages require one.
Replies are answered by the same AI that handles support, trained on your own content.
Campaigns can be paused and resumed at any time, and can require approval from a second team member.
Get started in three steps
- 1
Build your audience
Bulk-upload contacts or use the ones IotaBot already collected, then group them into a list or a self-updating segment.
- 2
Write the sequence
Pick an approved template for each step and the delay before the next. Follow-ups skip anyone who already replied.
- 3
Activate and answer
Sending is paced to your limits. Every reply lands in the inbox, where the AI answers or hands off to sales.
Built for campaigns that start conversations
Sequences with smart follow-ups
Step two goes out after the delay you choose, only to people who have not responded to step one.
Segments that stay current
Combine rules — first channel, last active, has a phone number, opted out — and membership updates itself.
AI on every reply
Questions about price, stock or delivery are answered instantly from your knowledge base, even at 2 AM.
Sending queue you can see
What is waiting, what went out and what failed — a stalled campaign is visible, not silent.
Safe pacing
Daily limits, sending hours, send days and timezone, set per campaign.
Same inbox as support
A campaign reply from an existing customer arrives with their full history across every channel.
WhatsApp marketing use cases
Product launches
Announce, then follow up only with people who stayed silent.
Seasonal sales
Reach a segment of recent buyers before a sale ends, with questions answered automatically.
Course and event enrolment
Invite, remind and answer fee and schedule questions without a call centre.
Win-back
A segment of customers inactive for 90 days gets a reason to return.

What is the difference between a broadcast and a campaign?
In IotaBot they are the same tool. A broadcast is a one-step campaign; a campaign can add follow-up steps that go only to people who did not reply.
Can one campaign send over WhatsApp, email and Instagram together?
No — each campaign uses one channel. The content, consent rules and limits differ per channel, so you create one campaign per channel instead.
Can I use template variables like {{1}} for the customer’s name?
Not in campaigns yet: steps use approved templates with fixed content. Personalised templates can be sent from the inbox or the IotaBot WhatsApp API.
Does the AI reply to campaign responses automatically?
Yes, unless a team member has taken over the conversation. It answers from your knowledge base and can hand off to a person when someone is ready to buy.
Do I need a WhatsApp Business API account first?
No separate account. You connect your number to IotaBot through Meta’s Embedded Signup, which sets up the WhatsApp Business Account for you.
